Jane Morgan

Underwater photographer, UK

My lifelong connection to the ocean began in childhood and has shaped my journey ever since. I learned to dive in 1991 and spent much of the ’90s teaching scuba and working on marine conservation projects in the Philippines and Borneo. A dive trip to Egypt in 2001 introduced me to underwater photography, sparking a creative passion that led me to leave the corporate world behind and pursue a full-time career in dive travel and photojournalism.

Since then, my work has appeared in leading national and international magazines, books, and newspapers. I have filmed underwater for the BBC, judged global photography competitions, and received multiple accolades—including the prestigious Plongeur d'Or at the Festival Mondial de l'Image Sous-Marine in Antibes. In 2009, I became a freelance photojournalist, and in 2011 completed a BA (Hons) in Marine and Natural History Photography at Falmouth University, where I now work as a Dive Safety Officer. I am also a member of the Scubaverse Photography Team, and an ambassador for Fathoms Free.

Now based in Cornwall, I dive the rugged UK coastline year-round and I am passionate about highlighting the beauty and biodiversity of British waters. As an ambassador for DYNAMICNORD, I am proud to represent a brand that reflects my values: innovation, reliability, and a deep respect for the underwater world. I continue to contribute to diving publications and conservation efforts, using my photography and storytelling to inspire others to explore and protect our oceans.
