We use earth-mined limestone to replace petrochemicals in our neoprene. It comes from nature and has less impact on the environment.
Carbon black, one of the key ingredients in neoprene, can now be pyrolysed from scrap rubber tyres. This reduces energy consumption and cuts CO₂ emission by 200 gr per wetsuit.
DYNAMICNORD neoprene rubber foam formulation has eliminated near all of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) substances.
We have been working to make our production even greener. We are focusing on finished goods production facilities that are equipped with solar panels on the roofs to provide green energy.
We are reducing the water and energy consumption of our dyeing machines by 60%.
Fin pocket inserts are made from a mixture of PP and TPR waste, whereas the hooks are made from PC waste.
We recycle all the plastic and glass parts of our masks.
The use of full automation increases production capacity while reducing production time, which also means that the machinery has to work less, resulting in lower electricity and water consumption.
Our skins are made with Polartec® technology, which is committed to 100% recycled materials and biodegradability across its entire product line. Polartec Eco-Engineering™ has set a new standard for sustainable textiles, including the creation of the world's first fully recycled and biodegradable fleece, other knitted fabrics, insulation fill and breathable waterproof fabrics.
